Free fundraising, forever

Givebutter's all-in-one fundraising platform is completely free to use—forever! We do not charge subscriptions, hide any fees, or require contracts of any kind to use every feature with award-winning live support.

Instead, Givebutter is funded by giving donors the option to make a contribution (we call it a "tip") to the platform during the payment process. Tips are completely optional and can be turned on or off at any time by any account admin, for any campaign.

If you prefer to disable tips, a small platform fee of 1–5% applies instead based on the campaign type.

The only other Givebutter fee you will see is from our secure payment processor of 2.9% + 30¢ for all payment methods (reduced to 1.9% for ACH), which most donors cover.

You can choose to hide, show, or require donors to cover payment processing fees in the donation flow. Over 95% of donors across all campaigns on Givebutter choose to cover the entire fee associated with their donation, leading to an average overall processing fee of just 0.5%.

In the rare event that a donor decides not to cover their fee, it is deducted from the full donation amount, so your organization never has to pay anything out of pocket.

Givebutter has partnered with Stripe and PayPal to offer the widest selection of modern payment methods available, including all major credit/debit cards, ACH, donor-advised funds, PayPal, and popular digital wallets like Venmo, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The best part? You don't need to sign up for any extra merchant accounts (like Venmo) to accept donations from these platforms.

Additionally, Givebutter offers free QR codes and text-to-donate tools for mobile giving, simplifies offline donations (cash, check), and supports in-person payments through the free Givebutter mobile app.

With Givebutter, you can easily view, manage, and import historical donation data all in one place. When you request a payout, funds from all payment methods are withdrawn together.
